10 Cutting Rules Cutting
| # | Rule | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Panel size includes busbar | No +8mm margin added. Panel.width_mm used as-is. |
| 2 | Width-match | Pick the smallest roll that fits — don't waste a 1830mm roll on a 600mm panel. |
| 3 | Borderline block | If panel width is within 50mm of nominal roll width AND the roll has no actual_width_mm measured → BLOCKED. Office must measure first. |
| 4 | Nesting | Same-height + same-busbar-orientation panels whose summed widths ≤ effective roll width → cut side-by-side in ONE pass. E.g. 220 + 1000 = 1220 on 1240mm roll = 2.6m linear instead of 5.2m. |
| 5 | Same-lot-per-project | All panels of one project cut from same lot (warranty traceability). Engine tracks projectLot[project_id]. |
| 6 | FIFO | Oldest roll first when tied on width. |
| 7 | Offcut pool first | Check offcut_pieces table ≥200mm wide before opening a fresh roll. |
| 8 | Reserved-lot exclusion | Engine cannot pick a lot already reserved to another in-flight project. |
| 9 | Linear m + m² auto-derived | linear_m = (h/1000) × qty · billable_m² = (w × h × qty) / 1,000,000. Not pre-planned. |
| 10 | Offcut fate | ≥200mm wide = shelf (barcoded) · 150–200mm = quarantine · <150mm = garbage. |

actual_width_mm. Borderline panels (within 5cm of nominal) BLOCKED until measured.Roll length: typically 30–60m per sealed roll. Tracked in stock_smartfilm.length_remaining_m.
Offcut Salvage Policy Stock
| Width remaining | Action | Why |
|---|---|---|
| ≥ 200 mm | → Shelf (barcoded, stored) | Re-cuttable for future small panels |
| 150–200 mm | → Quarantine | Office decides per-piece |
| < 150 mm | → Garbage | Too narrow for any panel |

Invoices & Payments Money
Page: /invoices/ (sidebar $). The money loop: Quote → LPO → Invoice → Payments.
- Invoice ONLY after LPO — the system refuses to create an invoice without the customer's LPO reference (meeting rule 06-04, enforced in the database).
- Numbers are automatic:
INV-2026-0001… humans never type invoice numbers. - Record each payment (transfer/cheque/cash/card) → received amount and status (unpaid → partial → paid) update by themselves.
- Dashboard shows: total invoiced · received · outstanding.
Purchasing & Receiving Money
Page: /admin/purchasing/ (sidebar P). Flow: open supplier → PO (from uploaded supplier invoice) → Receive → GRN.
- 📄 buttons open the real supplier document stored with the PO — nothing dummy.
- At receiving: count ordered vs received (shortages auto-flagged) and answer the "Any extra charges?" pop-up — shipping, customs, delivery, clearance.
- Landed cost = goods + all extra charges, spread across the items. This is the TRUE cost of each roll/item.
- USD suppliers convert at the fixed peg 3.6725.
Stock the Correct Way — A/B/C Stock
| Kind | Examples | Barcode | Counting |
|---|---|---|---|
| A · One-by-one | Power drives, controllers, door closers, film rolls | One code per piece | Scan the exact piece out per project |
| B · Batch | Sealing tape, copper tape, EVA, silver gel, cables | One code per batch/lot | Recipes deduct the quantity used |
| C · Small bulk | Screws, blades, gloves | No code | Recipe-deducted per job · monthly count |
The system asks the A/B/C question ONCE per item at first receiving, then remembers it.

Change your PIN: sign-in page → "Change my PIN" link → current PIN → new PIN twice. Forgot it? Manager resets it in Users & Teams → Workers → Sign-in PIN field.

Company Expenses (Accounting) Money
Page: /admin/expenses/ (sidebar E). Accounting enters everything the company pays to exist: rent, trade license, visa per worker, office salaries, utilities, insurance, bank fees…
- Monthly / yearly / one-time periods — yearly items convert to monthly automatically.
- Amounts editable inline anytime; removed items stay in history.
- The page computes the real overhead % = monthly expenses ÷ invoiced revenue — this replaces the 5% guess in every project estimation.
