10 Cutting Rules Cutting

The algorithm in /cut-test/ applies these in order.
#RuleWhat it means
1Panel size includes busbarNo +8mm margin added. Panel.width_mm used as-is.
2Width-matchPick the smallest roll that fits — don't waste a 1830mm roll on a 600mm panel.
3Borderline blockIf panel width is within 50mm of nominal roll width AND the roll has no actual_width_mm measured → BLOCKED. Office must measure first.
4NestingSame-height + same-busbar-orientation panels whose summed widths ≤ effective roll width → cut side-by-side in ONE pass. E.g. 220 + 1000 = 1220 on 1240mm roll = 2.6m linear instead of 5.2m.
5Same-lot-per-projectAll panels of one project cut from same lot (warranty traceability). Engine tracks projectLot[project_id].
6FIFOOldest roll first when tied on width.
7Offcut pool firstCheck offcut_pieces table ≥200mm wide before opening a fresh roll.
8Reserved-lot exclusionEngine cannot pick a lot already reserved to another in-flight project.
9Linear m + m² auto-derivedlinear_m = (h/1000) × qty · billable_m² = (w × h × qty) / 1,000,000. Not pre-planned.
10Offcut fate≥200mm wide = shelf (barcoded) · 150–200mm = quarantine · <150mm = garbage.
NEVER do: add 8mm busbar margin · use a wider roll when a narrower fits · ignore offcut pool · mix lots across one project's panels without flagging.

Roll Widths Stock

Three nominal widths: 1240 · 1520 · 1830 mm

Actual width comes from back office. No default + tolerance assumption. Office measures + records actual_width_mm. Borderline panels (within 5cm of nominal) BLOCKED until measured.

Roll length: typically 30–60m per sealed roll. Tracked in stock_smartfilm.length_remaining_m.

Offcut Salvage Policy Stock

Width remainingActionWhy
200 mm→ Shelf (barcoded, stored)Re-cuttable for future small panels
150–200 mm→ QuarantineOffice decides per-piece
< 150 mm→ GarbageToo narrow for any panel
Auto-record: Every cut leaving offcut ≥200mm wide gets offcut_pieces row + 1 barcode + cutter sticks on strip + stores on shelf. AI lot engine checks this pool BEFORE opening a fresh roll.

Busbar Conventions Cutting

Position (captured at survey, locked before cut):

  • Top · Bottom · Left · Right · Multi-busbar (Jumbo)

Width:

  • 10 mm · Standard (default)
  • 5 mm · Thin
  • Custom (other) — must be specified
Wrong busbar position = useless film. Office engineer LOCKS position before cutting sheet generates. QR labels carry busbar info to cutter.

The Canonical Pipeline Pipeline

Every PRIVASEESOFT page sits in this flow. Each transition is a rule-enforced gate.
Inquiry → Project → Visit → Survey → Office Review → Confirmation
        → Stock Reserve → Cutting → QC → Delivery → Problem

Stage decided by combining project.status + visits[].completed_at + quote.status.

Visit Readiness Gate · 9 checks Pipeline

Before any worker dispatches to site. Ready / Not Ready / Blocked.
  1. Customer contact confirmed (name + phone) — HARD
  2. Site address / GPS — HARD
  3. Visit purpose selected
  4. Gate pass / NOC (if required) — HARD
  5. Working hours confirmed
  6. Parking / access notes
  7. PPE + tools selected
  8. Site risks selected
  9. Surveyor / team assigned — HARD
Hard rules — never bypass: No dispatch if gate pass required & not received. No install visit if stock not reserved. No cutting without site contact co-signature.

Locked Phrases Brand

Use VERBATIM in customer-facing docs. Never paraphrase.
  • LP-001 — Smart Glass identification
  • LP-002 — Smart Glass lamination process (Smart Glass only — NOT Smart Film)
  • LP-003 — Service life / hermetic seal claim

Warranty: "2-year standard manufacturer warranty · extendable by separate project agreement" — use verbatim across datasheets, quotations, manuals, web.

Banned Vocabulary (External) Brand

NEVER in external/customer-facing docs:
  • Supplier names: Moben · Fuyin · Momentive (INTERNAL ONLY)
  • Operating voltage: 48 V / 60 V (INTERNAL ONLY)
  • Acoustic Rw 52 dB — banned. Allowed range is 34–48 dB Rw.
  • "Most common" for PJ-D power drive
  • Marker brand names on whiteboard
  • PRIVASEE® with registered mark — brand is PRIVASEE.uk, never ®/™

LG-02 = Acoustic (NOT Reverse-Mode) Brand

LG-02 is the acoustic Smart Glass variant (Rw 34–48 dB). It is NOT reverse-mode. Reverse-mode is a separate, currently-out-of-scope product.

TOSSEAL 381 Silicone — Only Approved Factory

Warranty-critical: TOSSEAL 381 is the ONLY approved silicone for Smart Glass edge sealing. Any other silicone voids the warranty.

EVA Interlayer Standards Factory

  • 0.8 mm EVA — Standard Smart Glass (SG-01, LG-01)
  • 0.76 mm EVA — Acoustic Smart Glass (LG-02)
  • Substrate: Low Iron tempered glass

3-Label Panel Lifecycle Factory

  1. TOP + BOTTOM labels stuck at lamination BEFORE protection removal — with project/room/size.
  2. QC TESTED label on back after clean + trim + test passes.
  3. Delivery scan reconciles to LPO. Wrong panel = hard block + alarm.

Database is the Only Truth Factory

LAW: Money + official docs = every read AND write through DB. NO localStorage for business data. Page loads ALWAYS query DB by ID.

The session identity token v7.2-admin-unlocked is the only thing allowed in localStorage.

Smart Glass Variants Product

  • SG-01 — Standard Smart Glass (PDLC film laminated between 2 sheets Low Iron + EVA 0.8mm)
  • LG-01 — Standard Laminated
  • LG-02Acoustic (Rw 34–48 dB) — uses EVA 0.76mm

Panel Size Includes Busbar Cutting

Cutting sheet sizes already include busbar width.

Don't add 8mm on top during optimization. 1050×2600 = cut to exactly 1050mm.

Nesting — Multi-Panel-Per-Cut Cutting

Same-height panels with summed widths ≤ roll effective width = cut side-by-side in ONE pass.

Example: 220 + 1000 = 1220 on 1240mm roll → 2.6m linear instead of 5.2m. Halves film consumed.

Busbar-collision check required (only top/bottom busbar orientation works for vertical nesting).

Lamination Recipes (7 types) Factory

  1. SG-01 Standard
  2. Acoustic (LG-02)
  3. Transparent (clear film)
  4. Coloured (yellow/gray tint)
  5. SOG Solid Opaque Glass
  6. Decorative
  7. OG Other Glass (customer-supplied)

Per-layer customer_supplied flag (when customer provides their own glass).

v7.9.0 Shell — Locked Baseline Brand

Every PRIVASEESOFT app page uses the EXACT v7.9.0 Home shell:

  • Desktop: Navy sidebar (sb-brand + sb-nav + sb-foot + 6 sb-items)
  • iPad / Phone: Topbar (tb-left + tb-right) + bottom-nav (4+ bn-items)
  • Lang pills (EN/AR/RU) + version chip slot

Only the main content changes between pages. Enforced by Guard 1 in CI.

Every Page Shows Main Version Brand

Rule (sealed together): Every page displays the current main version (e.g. v7.13.0). When main bumps, all pages bump together.

/shared/version-chip.js reads /BUILD_INFO.txt and stamps the chip at bottom-right. Single source of truth. Enforced by Guard 7 in CI.

VLT Publication Policy Brand

External docs publish:

  • VLT 90% ON · 80% OFF (± 2.0%)
  • Haze 2.5% ON · 99% OFF
  • Viewing angle >140°

Same values for Smart Film AND Smart Glass (component spec convention). Earlier 75/50 was wrong — SUPERSEDED.
